| A few words of encouragement. | Don't Be afraid of tomorrow. | Precious Promises | |||

The Lord has placed it upon my heart to post these few words of encouragement from His Word.
You are holy to the Lord your God. The Lord your God has chosen you to be His chosen posession. He has set His affection on you and choose you because He loves you. God wants to give you strength to move forward into new life, standing firm on God's promise, "As I was with Moses so I will be with you. I will never leave you nor forsake you." Be strong and courageous. Do not turn from my law to the right or to the left that you may be successful where ever you go. Do not be terrified, do not be discouraged for the Lord your God will be with you where ever you go. What ever God chooses for you to do He will equip you to do. Look to the Lord and His strength, seek His face always. Remember the wonders He has done and His miracles. The eyes of the Lord range throughout the earth to strengthen those whose hearts are fully commited to Him. Act with courage and the Lord be with you because your heart has been responsive and you humbled yourself before the Lord. God has filled you with His spirit, with skill and ability and knowledge. His presence will go with you and He will give you rest. The Lord your God will bless you in all your harvest and in all the work of your hands and your joy will be complete. The Lord will open the heavens, the storehouse of His bounty to send rain on your land in season and to bless the work of your hands. The Lord will make you the head, not the tail if you pay attention and inquire of Him, you will always be at the top, never the bottom. He will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go. He will counsel you and watch over you. For the Lord is a sun and a shield. The Lord bestows favor and honor, no good thing does He withhold from those whose walk is blameless. He has chosen you and not rejected you. So do not fear, for He is with you. Do not be dismayed for He is your God. He will strengthen you and help you. He will uphold you with His righteous right hand. He have redeemed you and have summoned you by name. You are His. You are precious and honored in His sight, and He loves you. You are His witness and His servant whom He has chosen. No one can deliver you out of His hand. If you will go forward in the way before you, you will soon receive the promise and He will give you your hearts desire. For He knows the plans He has for you, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. You will seek Him and find Him when you seek Him with all your heart, He will be found by you. The outcome of seeking the Lord is peace that passes alll understanding, joy that is unspealable and true assurance that you have been found by the Lord and that your future is secure in Him.

Be strong and courageous, do not be terrified; do not be dismayed, for the Lord your God will be with you where ever you go. (Joshua 1:9) Some time ago I shared with my Women's Ministries group about a devotional story I had read. The story was my "Anxiety Box". I came across this book awhile ago and opened it to this story, taped to the page wasa note card a friend of mine had given me on September 26, 1999, the day after my car accident. The car read, "Don't be afraid of tomorow. God is already there." And the verse of Joshua 1:9. A part of this story reads, " This is the blessed life - not anxious to see far in front, nor eager to chose the path, but quietly following behind the shepherd one step at a time. The shepherd was always out in front of the sheep. He was down in front. Any attack upon them had to take him into account. Now God is down in front. He is in the tomorrows. God is already there. All the tomorrows of our life have to pass Him before they can get to us." Friends, God is already in your tomorrows. Thats why we can trust them to Him, and give Him the heavy load of all that (might) happen. we can leave the burden on His strong shoulders. He is much more able to carry it than we are. My suggestion to you, is to make yourself an Anxiety Box and this is where it comes in. When anxiety takes over your mind, take a small piece of paper and write out what is causing your anxiety. Date the paper and put it in your anxiety box. As you open the lid tell God you are giving to Him the worry that's tearing you apart. As you place it in the box tell Him it's His. You are giving it to Him because He can deal with it much better than you can. Close the box and thank God that the worry is now His. Everytime you see the box you will be reminded that God is carrying your worries, not you. Once or twice a year, open the box and read the worries. Thank God for the ones He has taken care of. The others put back in your heart shaped box and intrust them to His timing. Thought: We can benifit from those who have struggled with anxiety before us and learned the wonderful truth that God is in all our tomorrows.

Philippians 4:13 Promises us that Christ will empower us for anything we must face. This means that He will make us ready for anything and equal to all challenges by infusing us with inner strength. God will never put us in the position to do something without giving us the strength and ability to do it. Hebrews 13:21 God promises that He will strengthen (complete, perfect) and make us what we ought to be and equip us with everything good that we may carry out His will, while He himself works in us and accomplishes that which is pleasing in His sight through Jesus Christ. |
